Daily Admission Vs. Season Pass

Most people who travel to amusement parks only go for one day out of the year, but there are those who go multiple days. A rule of thumb to remember here, if you go more then 3 days in a year its probably best to buy a season pass. Some amusement parks even offer you the option to put your daily admission price towards the purchase of a season pass. Talk with your travel agent about the best admission plans for your amusement park of choice.

Take Pictures

Some of the reasons we travel are to see the sights, take pictures, relax, and share good times with family and friends. One of these stands out and that is taking pictures. If we did not take pictures we would not have visual remembrance of anything would we? Some of the worlds best photographers have taken their best pictures at amusement parks around the world, so what does this have to do with amusement park travel? This has a great deal of impact on amusement park travel, because it is a way for people to share their experiences at certain parks with one another, as well as provide some visual feedback on what to expect at a certain park. One rule to live by: never take photos while on rides or attractions, this can put you in danger as well as those around you. Have fun and remember the times you had with friends and family.

Little Know Amusement Park Secret

In the previous post I mentioned something along the lines of staying hydrated throughout the entire day. Most people surrender hundreds of dollars a day to pop/soda machines at amusement parks. Most amusement parks offer water in their pop/soda machines as well as carbonated beverages. Did you know that if you go up to any food stand that sells fountain pop/soda and ask for a cup of water they will give it to you for free? Thats right I said you can get "FREE" water if you just ask for it.

Filling your Belly

The number one amusement park travel tip that you will receive from me or anyone is, bring your own food to an amusement park. Amusement Park food can sometimes be highly priced, and can put a large dent in your wallet. Simply set time aside during the middle of the day to take a break, go out to the car and enjoy a quick lunch with the family. Always bring coolers, ice packs, and water with you when you travel to amusement parks. Keep yourself hydrated throughout the entire day. In the next post I will tell you a little known Amusement Park secret, stay tuned!

What to look for in an Amusement Park

There are several key elements to look for when selecting the right amusement park for you and your family. Below are some of the major considerations:

1. Price
2. Location
3. Distance
4. Amount of time required to enjoy the entire facility
5. How many "kid friendly" rides are there?
6. Average cost of park food
7. Entertainment/Show venue

The list goes on. I want to take this time to point out one of the most common things to look for in an amusement park, and the rest we will get to in later posts. Right now I want to look at number 5, "How many "kid friendly" rides are there?". If you are like most people that go to an amusement park your family also tags along, right? Children are probably the main reason parents are going to amusement parks in the first place. Children want to have fun at an amusement park, but there are safety limitations that prevent small children from riding some of the rides. The main safety limitation is due to a child's height, some of the most common heights found in amusement parks are: 46' 48' 52' and 54'. Now, it is important to research an amusement park ahead to find out which rides your family will be able to participate in together. Amusement parks in recent years have come to realize this and have begun to implement more "kid friendly" rides into their selections.

The main point that I am stressing in this post is that researching a park before you travel is vital. Amusement park companies work very hard to get you the information that you need to make an informed decision.
